A Farewell to Charms Blog Tour Stop

A Farewell to Charms Blog Tour Stop: Bibliognome interviews author Lindsey Leavitt.

Bibliognome: If you had a gnome, what would its name be?

Lindsey Leavitt: "Augustus. A favorite line in our family is “Augustus, sweetheart, save some room for later,” (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), so maybe we would feed Augustus the table scraps."

Bibliognome: Which character in A Farewell to Charms is your favorite and did that ever change as the series was progressing?

Lindsey Leavitt: "I always loved writing Meredith. She was always so smart and sassy, her back story was fun to unfold, and I loved revealing her vulnerability. I love people who say something different than what they feel, who maybe don’t always tell you what they’re thinking, but can’t help showing you. But in the third book, we see a lot more of Reed, and that kid sure stole my heart. I was literally squealing when I wrote the final scene. I hope readers will too!"

Bibliognome: What word is your favorite to say or write?

Lindsey Leavitt: "Mischievous. Just makes me raise my eyebrows or smirk. The more mischief in a story, the better."

Bibliognome: What are you writing currently or percolating in your mind to write soon?

Lindsey Leavitt: "My next book to release is GOING VINTAGE, which comes out in spring 2013. I’ve just finished that, so now I’m in prewriting mode for my 2014 contemporary book. It’s been brewing for a couple of weeks now, so I should be able to dive in soon. My goal is to have a completed draft by the end of the summer. Um, that’s all that I can really say, except maybe as of now the story is set in Las Vegas (finally! Six book and I’m in my hometown!)

Bibliognome: If you were an agent of the Façade Agency what color would your hair be dyed?

Lindsey Leavitt: "LOVE this question. Aquamarine, maybe a touch of red. I keep saying I’ll die my hair to celebrate a book release. I haven’t taken the plunge. YET."

  1. I'd name my gnome "Oreo" so as to have no one steal him from my garden because he was all white or all black.

    1. Interesting name :) I for one would give my gnome a fancy name like Thorman T. Thimble or perhaps an average name like Steve or Bob.
