Sentence Sneak Peek - Moonset

Moonset, a coven of such promise.

Before magic, we were victims before the wraiths and princes, the fallen and the blighted.

There is a presence over them.

They disappeared for a few years after high school.

There was a growing unrest between the classes of witches.

Reports from the scene suggest that the explosions started just before noon, when the Invisible Congress would have adjourned for lunch.

In the span of a single day, one hundred of the most powerful witches in the world were killed.

No one knew how to react.

Now is the time for sacrifice.

You have to understand.

There is no war.

People thought it was a sick joke at first.

The tide turned when two of the remaining ‘Great Covens’ aligned and commandeered control of the resistance.

The alliance between Illana Bryer and Robert Cooper gave us a fighting chance.

(On being asked why she followed Moonset) “We changed the world.

We knew it was coming.

There were reports of children, of course, but we discounted them.

I don’t know why they surrendered, nor do I care to speculate.

When we found them, they had been lined up in a row of cribs.

There was something disturbing about the five of them.

You piteous wastes did not take my life.
