“After a long day of providing escort for the US Marshals Service, Hank pulled his duty car into the driveway to find another vehicle already there.”

“Hank Merrow was gorgeous.”

“Ivy opened the door and stared into the face of the woman who’d brought her a beer and a burger last night.”

“Something was up with Ivy.”

“I said I’d woo her, which she seemed to like.

“The woods behind Hank’s house were thick with trees, their branches dressed with the rich green leaves of early summer.”

“She’d lost her head to the full moon fever.”
